About Meg[]

Meg is the daughter of Blackie Callahan an old buddy of Jock and Digger Barnes who both used to be wildcatters with them in the early days of Ewing Oil; she runs the oil company which he founded, Callahan Oil.

When Meg asks J.R. as to why he contacted her about her father about checking out his recent tip on a possible strike opportunity at a nearby drilling site, when she has some expertise in the subject as well, he proudly reminisces about her fathers talents at finding an oil strike, "When Blackie sniffed out oil, everybody was covered with crude oil as soon as they started drillin'!", was well compensated by paying royalties to him out of his own pocket, as he then seeks his expertise on another strike at a drilling site. When he meets up with Meg, she directs to a nearby low-security prison to bail him out of jail to get his help.
