Fallen Idol is the 12th episode of Season 2 of the CBS-TV series Dallas, also the 17th overall series episode. Written by Arthur Bernard Lewis, and directed by Vincent McEveety, the episode originally aired on CBS-TV on December 3, 1978, six days after the death of Richard Kelton.
Synopsis[]
The business of America is business. The business of the Ewings is more business. Bobby forms a construction firm with a college pal. Their proposed first project: a shopping mall...on Southfork
Storyline[]
Bobby's college pal, Guzzler, shows up in Dallas and lights up Bobby's eyes like he did when they were in college. But when they team up in a construction deal, it's Pam who feels like she's on the outside.
Summary[]
It's reunion time for Bobby when his former college idol, Taylor "Guzzler" Bennett, arrives in town and they decide to renew their friendship by becoming partners in the construction business. Guzzler's big plan is to build a shopping center on land that is a part of Southfork but Miss Ellie and J.R. have strong objections, each for different reasons.
